Video Transcript for Review of Draw-Tite Heavy Duty Receiver Hitch - Mounting Brackets - 4916

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the 16 inch Mounting Bracket Kit for the Draw-Tite Class V Service Body Trailer Hitches. Now, these are universal mounting brackets that'll let you mount the trailer hitch cross tube to the frame of your heavy-duty or commercial vehicle. These brackets are required for installation of either the Draw-Tite Class V Service Body Hitch part number 41990 or part number 41991, both of those we do sell separately on our website. And just to show you what they look like, there's an insert, showed you the cross tube with the hitch receiver in the middle. Now, I mentioned two part numbers and the difference in those two part numbers is the length, one is 44 inches long, the other is 66 inches long, and as I mentioned, we do carry both of those hitches on our website.

Now, these mounting brackets here, to install them to the vehicle, they are a weld-on or bolt-on installation, and again, just to show you in the insert, there's the cross tube I showed you with these brackets installed, just to show you how they look like when they're ready to install. Basically, the bracket down here has a square cutout that'll slide onto the each end of the hitch cross tube, and then you adjust it along the cross tube to fit the frame width that's needed for your application, and then you weld the mounting bracket to the cross tube, and then after the brackets are welded on, then you can either bolt on with the holes here or weld on these brackets and cross tube to your vehicle's frame. Now, once they are installed, the center of the hitch receiver opening for your hitch will be about 16 inches from the top of the vehicle's frame rail to basically the center of the hitch receiver opening. So basically, what you're doing is this right here will be lined up with the top of the vehicle's frame rail and your tube will be inserted here, so when they say you get a 16 inch drop, I just wanted to show you, we're gonna measure, so if we go from the center of that opening to the very top the bracket right up here, you can see there's your 16 inch drop that you'll be gaining. Now, these do have a nice black powder coat finish to them over an E-coat base to resist corrosion.

Few measurements on the whole bracket itself, the width of the bracket, from this end to this end, is gonna be right at nine inches wide, the overall height from the very bottom of the bracket to the very top of the bracket is gonna be right at 18 1/4 inches tall. But that should do it for the review on the 16 inch Mounting Bracket Kit for the Draw-Tite Class V Service Body Trailer Hitches..

Excellent heavy duty product. As promised and delivered right to the door in a verry short time. Have had lots of product shipped from U.S. but this was the fastest and really liked the paitence the staff had in helping me find the product I needed for my older motorhome. Will be ordering much more from this supplier.

  • Trailer Hitch for 1998 Ford E-450 Shuttle Bus Conversion
The best option we have for you to add a trailer hitch on your 1998 Shuttle Bus is the Draw-Tite Class IV Weld-On Ultra Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 41990. This hitch can be installed with either 16 inch brackets # 4916 or 7 inch brackets # 4907. In order to determine which bracket you need, you will want to take a quick measurement to determine how much room you'll need to clear your vehicle's bumper. You will want to measure from the top of the frame on your vehicle, to the bottom...

  • Trailer Hitch Solution for Step Van that Was Fedex Van
I spoke to my contacts at Curt and Reese and the only styles of hitches that can be made to fit a service body truck like your Fedex step van are multi-fit RV hitches like the # 41990 that has a 16k capacity. This is a weld on hitch that would require either the 7 inch drop brackets part # 4907 or the 16 inch brackets part # 4916.

  • Recommended Hitch for Turtle Top Van Terra Built on 2000 E350
For what you are describing, I think the best option is to use the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Cross Tube, # 41990; this is a 2" receiver Class V hitch. this is to be welded in to place using either the 16" Weld-On Bracket Kit for Draw-Tite Class V Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch, # 4916 or, the 7" version, # 4907. This will provide you with a Class V hitch and multiple placement options best fit your needs. If I follow correctly your last statement of the...

  • Which Hitch Will Fit a 2004 E-350 Cab and Chassis with 14 Foot Box Truck Body
For a 2004 Ford E-350 Cab and Chassis the Draw-Tite # 41906 is a custom fit, but you will need to make sure that the bolt holes are 38-5/8 inches from frame to frame in order for it to fit your particular model. While this hitch is a custom fit for the E-350 cab and chassis, it's possible that your box truck body may not have that hole spacing on the frame so you will want to confirm this. I've linked an installation video that can be used as a rough guide, since we don't have any videos...

  • Is RV Trailer Hitch Available with 10,000 lb Weight Capacity
If you are looking for a trailer hitch to mount on your RV then the highest rated capacity is the Curt Trailer Hitches parts # C13702 and # C13701 which are both rated for a max of 6,000 lbs towing when a weight distribution (WD) system is used. These are the same hitch with the only difference being the 13701 has a 2" drop for the receiver. We do have the Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Cross Tube # 41991 which has a 16,000 lb towing rating but I'm not sure if it would fit your...

While we do not have a custom fit hitch for your Freightliner MT45 we do have several heavy duty weld-on hitches that could work for you. I have included a link to all of them for you. Based on your frame width you could use # 41990 which is 44 inches long. Then for brackets you could use 7 inch brackets # 4907 or 16 inch brackets # 4916. If the frame is an I-beam frame then the only option is # 13703. Weld-on hitches should only be installed by qualified professional welders. I have...

Hey Parakesh, there aren't going to be any custom options but what you can do is use something like # 41990 which has a 16k capacity. • High Capacity Trailer Hitch Option for a Class A Motorhome
I have a universal fit hitch setup that would have more capacity, but you will need to make sure that the RV has the additional capacity you would require as well. This is a weld on hitch that would require either the 7 inch drop brackets part # 4907 or the 16 inch brackets part # 4916 depending on which would work best on your RV.

  • Recommended Front Hitch For 1993 Chevy Fleetwood Jamboree
Hey William! I'm sure you've found out that there isn't a custom front hitch made for the Chevy chassis on your Fleetwood Jamboree, but that doesn't mean you can't still add one. I recommend checking out a standard weld-on option like the Draw-Tite # 41990. This comes just as the crosstube and receiver by itself, and you'll need to add side brackets too, either the 7" # 41990 or the 16" # 4916. I'd take a quick measurement to see which brackets will be appropriate so that the receiver...

No, it won't but I have a hitch that will. I checked with Buyers Products and the frame's a different width on the newer Savana cutaways so the item # 3371801102 won't work. Since there are no custom fit hitches for a 2010 GMC Savana Cutaway, you will need to use a universal option. I recommend the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Cross Tube item # 41990 and one of the following mounting brackets: 7" Bolt or Weld-On Bracket Kit item # 4907 16" Bolt or Weld-On Bracket...

I have a great solution for you, but the Torklift hitch part # TLF1002 wasn't designed for use on anything but the vehicles it was made for and shouldn't be used on a school bus. Instead we have the Draw Tite Hitch part # 41990 which when used with the 7 inch drop brackets part # 4907 or the 16 inch brackets part # 4916 would work well.
